According to uniRank, JSU’s Facebook page is ranked at 135 among colleges and universities in the United States.
Published twice a year, in February and August, the uniRank Facebook University Ranking is a non-academic social media ranking of higher education institutions based on the number of likes/fans each main institutional University Facebook page has. UniRank rates more than 9,300 official University pages from 190 countries.
Spencer McClenty, associate director of University Communications and Marketing-Digital Media, said, “We’re really proud to have a very robust social media program at Jackson State, under the leadership of our executive director. Every month, across all of our channels, our digital content reaches more than 1 million people. Kentrice does a masterful job managing our digital media.”
JSU is ranked higher than all colleges and universities in the state of Mississippi except Mississippi State University. Jackson State is also ranked higher than all Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) except Howard University.
Kentrice Rush, digital media manager, said, “It feels great to see how much our Facebook page has grown through the years and how well it measures up to other universities.”
