Jackson State University’s COVID-19 Reopening Task Force has released its JSU Safe Plan for reopening the campus. Acting President Thomas K. Hudson created the task force in May.

“Our COVID-19 Reopening Task Force led by Ashley Robinson, vice president and director of athletics, and Dr. Dawn Bishop McLin, a professor in the Department of Psychology and vice president of the Faculty Senate, has dedicated many hours to formulate a plan that serves as a guide to safely bring our faculty, staff, and students back to campus,” said Hudson. “The task force worked hard to ensure that it adhered to the guidelines set by federal, state, and city officials. I want to thank them for their commitment to creating this plan.”

The plan details enhanced screening and cleaning measures, move-in protocols for students and parents, and other university operations information.

“While we recognize this is an evolving issue, we will continue to make decisions to keep our campus community safe,” Hudson added.
