Jackson State University civil engineering graduate student Stacy Holton was selected as a Minority Student Fellow by the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies.
Holton attended the 93rd Annual Meeting of TRB held Jan. 12-15 in Washington, D.C., with 10 other fellows from across the country. He was recognized by the senior administrators of the Federal Highway Administration and the Department of Transportation.
Holton also was honored by the Fellowship at the Chairman Luncheon on Jan. 15.
He presented his paper entitled Porcelain-enamel Coated Steel Fiber Reinforcement in Cementitious & Geopolymeric Composite Materials in the poster session and received an excellent evaluation for his research. His academic advisors are Dr. Lin Li and Dr. Farshad Amini in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at JSU.
