Veronica Cohen, vice president of Institutional Advancement and External Affairs has been chosen to serve on the 2021 CASE District III Cabinet. Cohen’s nomination was confirmed with a unanimous vote by current cabinet members. On July 1, she will join 19 returning cabinet members to begin planning for the District III conference.
“It’s an honor to be selected to the CASE District III Executive Board to collaborate with advancement and education leaders,” Cohen said.
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is the global non-profit association dedicated to educational advancement—alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services—who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and society.
Specifically, District III supports members located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
“This conference offers exceptional professional development opportunities for higher education, and shares best practices in education and advancement,” Cohen said. “I appreciate having a wide variety of resources available to me by CASE to share with my advancement team. It’s also nice to have JSU at the table where decisions are being made that affect HBCUs.”
Annually, this conference attracts more than 1,500 advancement professionals for engaging educational experiences and superb entertainment.
