Engineering Week activities set for Feb. 17-21

The College of Science, Engineering and Technology will host Engineering Week, Feb. 17-21, and the activities are open to faculty, staff, students and the community.

The week will feature panel discussions, a tour of the CSET departments, a tea with President Carolyn W. Meyers and a canoe competition demonstration.

“Engineering Week is an opportunity for our students to network with professionals and for us to showcase the program and our students’ achievement,” said CSET Dean Dr. Richard Aló.

The Society of Women Engineers panel on Thursday will feature Lakevion Trotter of Ergon Refining, Inc. in Vicksburg; Antoinette Silas of Engineers Research and Development Center in Vicksburg; LaQuisha Braboy of IMS Engineers, Inc. in Jackson; a representative from Terracon, Inc. in Baton Rouge, La., and Ebonye-Rosa Allen of the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality.
