Jackson, Mississippi – Jackson State University ranks among the U.S. News & World Report 2024 Best Colleges. The university is No. 124 on the list of Social Mobility – National Universities, and No. 25 on the list of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The social mobility ranking evaluates how well schools graduate students who received federal Pell Grants (typically coming from households whose family incomes are less than $50,000 annually).
