Jackson State University Achieves Three 2023 MarCom Awards

Jackson, Mississippi – Jackson State University (JSU) has won three awards in the 2023 MarCom Awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). JSU received the following accolades:

  • People of JSU Book Volume 5 received the Platinum Award in the Publications – Educational category.
  • JSU Day of Giving 2023 film received the Gold Award in the Video Fundraiser category.
  • JSU Need 2 Know received Honorable Mention in the Video Series category.

“This is the first time JSU has entered and won the MarCom Awards competition and we’re honored to receive the recognition,” said Director of Communications and Digital Media Spencer McClenty. “I’m especially happy for our team because all of the awards are a group effort produced by staff in public relations, marketing, graphic design and digital media. These awards are a testament to the creativity of our communications staff and the sure excellence of work that our team is capable of producing.”

The Association received approximately 6,500 entries from countries around the world. AMCP is an international organization with thousands of professional organizational members involved in every area of media and communications. Platinum Award winners in other categories include AARP, Proctor and Gamble, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo.
