JSU alumna Michelle Coleman-Bernard has published a book entitled “Church Folks vs. Christians: Do you see the Difference?”
According to Coleman-Bernard, there are recognizable differences in mindsets, among other things.
“Clear knowledge of these differences, along with a fresh determination to work harder at pleasing God, is what I hope church folks will take away with them,” she said.
Coleman-Bernard is a native of Jackson, Miss. She graduated from JSU in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and again in 2009 with a Master of Arts degree. She continued her studies at Troy University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Management in 2012.
Coleman-Bernard is an instructor of English at Hinds Community College and an adjunct instructor of English at Holmes Community College. She also serves as a minister of music at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
As for the future, Coleman-Bernard aspires to continue publishing her works; she has five other book ideas. She also wishes to publish a series of books for children.
