(Jackson, Miss.) – Jackson State University is on a mission to win $50,000 in an Allstate insurance contest, but the institution needs your help.
JSU is competing against other historically black colleges and universities in the Allstate Quotes for Education Voting Contest. Currently, JSU is in third place. Go to www.allstatequotesforeducation.com to vote for JSU and increase the university’s odds of winning the $50,000, which could be used for scholarships or other student programs.
Don’t miss this opportunity to help JSU win the prize. With JSU’s historic fall 2013 student enrollment, there is a greater need for resources as the university continues to provide quality services and programs for it students.
The voting ends on Nov. 30, 2013, so it’s not too late to show your support. JSU staffers are spreading the word about the contest through Facebook and Twitter. Posted around the JSU campus are signs with a Quick Response Code, allowing students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters to use their smart phones to vote online. The code takes the user to the Allstate Quotes for Education page.
“We’re doing everything we can to inform all our students, faculty, staff, alumni and other supporters about the contest so they can feel empowered to help the university win these funds,” said Pamela Berry-Johnson, JSU marketing manager. “Going online to vote daily is an easy, uncomplicated method of showing your support for Jackson State and it can make a huge difference in the lives of our students.”
Participants can select Jackson State University from the dropdown menu and click the “vote” button, provide an e-mail address and check the box to accept the official rules. Each participant who successfully submits a vote will receive an email with a personalized URL they must follow to verify their email address. The limit is one vote per person and email each day so you can vote every day until the deadline.
Wondering if JSU’s votes are being calculated. I have voted for about 2 weeks. I received an email after completing the first vote, that verified my email address. However, I haven’t received an email after any other votes. After casting each vote, typing in my e-mail address and accepting the rules, It said my vote was successful, but, haven’t received any other emails verifying my votes. Are we to receive a verification email after each vote?
