Jackson State University is ranked among the “Top Colleges in Mississippi for Future Service Members.”
The Online College Database College Rankings has listed JSU as No. 3 in the state for being an institution for future service members. JSU’s ranking comes in ahead of Mississippi State University and the University of Southern Mississippi, respectively. The University of Mississippi was No. 1 and Mississippi University for Women was No. 2.
The report comes from OnlineCollegesDatabase.org. The criteria included whether the schools offered four-year degree generating, non-profit programs; provided at least two ROTC branches and kept costs of attendance under $20,000 each year.
JSU offers ROTC branches for the Army and Air Force, and the cost of attendance is less than $6,000.
