Choosing Jackson State University just got easier as a national ranking lists the institution as among the most affordable four-year colleges in the U.S.
Out of 100 of the most cost-efficient colleges, Best Value Schools.com says JSU ranks 94 on the list.
The ranking is based on colleges’ “net price,” a figure believed to be more accurate than reporting tuition rates alone. The calculation comes from College Navigator, a government-run data Website.
Best Value Schools cited JSU for its student-to-faculty ratio, which is 15:1. The organization says the ratio ensures that students can build close relationships with professors and classmates as they work to understand and study behavioral and environmental studies, rehabilitation counseling, civil and environmental engineering, communicative disorders, and more.
