Would you like to fire the Tiger Battalion cannon?
Jackson State University Army ROTC is selling raffle tickets to win the opportunity to fire the cannon during the Jackson State Homecoming Game vs. Mississippi Valley State University on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium.
A single ticket is $5, or three tickets for $10, according to the JSU Department of Military Science.
Tickets can be purchased from any Tiger Battalion cadet or at the Military Science office on the main campus in the Dollye M.E. Robinson Building, Room 453.
All proceeds from ticket sales will support the Department of Military Science Dining In.
The winning ticket will be announced on Friday, Oct. 3.

ROTC, which stands for Reserve Officers Training Corps, is a program of military instruction located on 270 college and university campuses nationwide.
The JSU Army ROTC Tiger Battalion serves the Greater Jackson area to train cadet-students to become future Army officers as well as leaders in the business world. It is the host program for Belhaven University, Hinds Community College, Millsaps College, Tougaloo College, Mississippi College and the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s School of Nursing.
