Leadership transition announced in Undergraduate Studies and Cyberlearning

Jackson State University provost and senior vice president for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Evelyn J. Leggette, has announced a change in leadership in the Office of Undergraduate Studies and Cyberlearning.

Leggette said associate dean Dr. Marie O’Banner-Jackson has been named interim dean, succeeding Dr. Robert Blaine, who has resigned.

President Carolyn W. Meyers said, “We are grateful to Dr. Blaine for developing learning strategies and pedagogies in our ecosystem which will assist us in developing 21st century learners who are technologically sophisticated and capable of competing with students in a global society. The university will continue to build upon his work.”

Leggette said, “Dr. O’Banner-Jackson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position as she was one of the key figures in the establishment of undergraduate studies. I am looking forward to working more closely with Dr. O’Banner-Jackson in her expanded role.”
