JSU welcomed a record number of guests during its annual High School Day on Sept. 17 at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center.
During the program, participants were able to take part in an exciting and educational day.

The Sonic Boom of the South started the program, followed by the Prancing J-Settes and JSU cheerleaders. Afterward, there was a meet and greet with the JSU royal court.
The event allowed participants to learn more about academic programs, which were presented by representatives from each college and school.
Several student organizations were present to inform guests and their parents about extracurricular activities offered by the university, including the Blue Ambassadors, OutSpoken Arts Collective, MADDDRAMA Performance Troupe and JSU’s Dance Ensemble. In addition, participants enjoyed a Greek step show presented by various fraternities and sororities on campus.
High School Day concluded with an organizational fair and campus tours.
Potential Tigers were invited to attend a white-out game at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium between Jackson State University and Grambling State University, which took place later that evening.
