JSU INNOVATE and the Division of Undergraduate Studies are teaming to provide technology teaching tools for faculty at a lunch workshop on Thursday, Oct. 2.
Titled Enhancing Teaching Effectiveness with Technology and In-Stream Assessment, the workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the JSU INNOVATE section of the H.T. Sampson Library.
According to Kenya A. Hudson, faculty development specialist at the JSU Center for University Scholars, the workshop focuses on teaching effectiveness via three modules:
♥ An introduction to Academic IT and the tools available in JSU INNOVATE;
♥ A “lessons from the field” discussion with a faculty member;
♥ An exploration of the uses of assessment to improve teaching and learning.
Lunch will be provided at the event, which is part of the JSU Faculty Engagement and Advancement Program.

The Faculty Engagement and Advancement Program is a year-long planned program of interactive workshops and working luncheons designed to promote excellence in research, teaching and service. Administered by the Center for University Scholars, the programs target faculty at various stages in their career from early career to mid-career.
