Please be advised that the City of Jackson is continuing to experience water pressure issues throughout the city and as a result, our campus services are being impacted. Until the issue is resolved and our on-campus water tower is filled, we will continue to have intermittent and varied water pressure in different campus buildings, including our residence halls.
Because the City is unable to give a resolution timeline, we are strongly encouraging all students who can return home to do so this weekend to help lower the need and usage of water and sewer systems. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as we get them from the City.
Also, the University will close at 4 p.m. today and resume normal business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) on Monday, Jan. 22.
