CPRAM, established more than 30 years ago, is an organization exclusive to public relations professionals employed at institutions of higher learning.

Every year, members are offered an opportunity to compete for top spots in categories ranging from, but not limited to, best news story or series and special publications to digital art/photo illustration.

The conference and competition provide recognition for the exceptional work of those in the public relations arena.

“JSU Uptown Funk 2015,” a wildly entertaining YouTube video rendition of the Bruno Mars classic, won second place honors in the New Media/Social Media (Senior Division) category.

Awards were distributed to staff members Ashton Hall, Spencer McClenty, Kentrice Rush  and Kari Thomas.

Third place in the Institutional Magazine (Senior Division) category was presented to Olivia S. Goodheart, Karyn Hollingsworth, Charles A. Smith, L.A. Warren and D’Artagnan Winford for their superb efforts on the summer/fall 2014 and summer 2015 publications of The Jacksonian magazine.
