To position Jackson State University as a global leader in providing deep quality education, delivering excellent services and producing competitive graduates, the President has established Creative Awards for Faculty and Staff – CAFS. The strategic goal of CAFS is to foster innovation, collaboration and creativity with a special emphasis on major socio-cultural, health, behavioral, environmental, economic, educational, policy, and technological issues. The projects that will be funded may be high risk but must be timely and highly innovative. In addition, they must engage students in research methodology in order to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The deadline for the proposal to be received in the Division of Academic Affairs is Oct. 15, 2012.
