Youth and some young adults paraded around on JSU’s campus on Halloween decked out in their favorite costumes.
Several youth participated in a “trunk or treat” while a number of college students channeled their youthful spirit by going from building to building during a campus-wide trick-or-treat event.
Adding to the festivities, several university departments and divisions loaded up on bags of candy to dole out treats to students of all ages.
Kayla Sims, a junior mass communications major from Clarksdale, participated. “I’ve enjoyed the time to go out to grab some free candy,” she said. She planned to consume all of it herself.
Shomari Johnson, a graduate student from Albany, Georgia, described his candy venture around campus as “fun because everyone was in such a good (or, perhaps he meant ‘ghoul’) spirit.”
