(JACKSON, Miss.) – The recently released NCAA Academic Progress Rates (APR) show the Jackson State Division of Athletics continues to excel academically, with two teams earning perfect scores.
For the fourth year in a row, the men’s tennis and women’s cross country teams have been recognized for recording perfect APR scores. The highest APR score that can be earned during a four-year cohort is 1,000. The NCAA recently recognized these teams for recording perfect scores and ranking in the top 10 nationally in regards to APR.
In order to compete in the 2014-15 postseason, teams must achieve either a 930-multi-year APR or a 940 average over the most recent two years. For the third consecutive year, no JSU program received an APR penalty and all 18 JSU teams will be eligible for postseason play during the 2014-15 academic year.
