The Yearly Employee Support (Y.E.S.) campaign is the university’s faculty and staff annual fund drive that benefits students and Jackson State through scholarship assistance, academic and athletic program support, campus improvements and faculty development.

Each academic year, more than 90% of Jackson State students rely on financial assistance to complete their registration. As a result of this vast need, our faculty and staff understand the importance of donating their resources to ensure the continued success of our students and JSU.

Last year, Jackson State’s faculty and staff contributed $86,818.67 of their salaries to the Y.E.S. campaign. These funds donated totaled 31% of employee giving and was designated to various areas by each contributor.

“Faculty and staff employed by JSU are encouraged to support this initiative by making a contribution of any size,” says Monica Lewis, director of Annual Giving. “Our goal for this campaign is to achieve 100% participation for our university.”

“It is our hope that alumni, friends, foundation and corporate donors will see that we are investing our treasures in our students because we are passionate about their future,” says Lewis. “As a collective, our contributions can make a significant impact on the effectiveness of our programs and encourage our external audience to give as well.”
