Jackson State University aims to raise $400,000 today during its 6th Annual Day of Giving campaign to support scholarships, athletics and the Sonic Boom of the South.
This year’s event is slated to be bigger and better as JSU incorporates a Facebook LIVE presentation called “THEE Show” at 7 p.m. this evening on JSU’s official Facebook page @JacksonStateU
“THEE Show” is being billed as an epic occasion with many surprises and special guests. It will be hosted by Michelle Boyd, aka Chelle B of WJMI, and Sonny THEE Tiger. Boyd is also the marketing associate for University Communications at JSU.
Alumni, alumni chapters, fraternities, sororities and friends of JSU are encouraged to join the history-making fundraising effort by participating in friendly, competitive challenges between each of these various groups.
Specifically, Day of Giving will support:
- $200,000 for scholarships
- $100,000 for athletics
- $100,000 for the Sonic Boom of the South.
