Park-N-Ride service will be provided Saturday, Sept. 7, for the Jackson State University vs. Alabama State football game. Fans will be transported to Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium from Jackson State University Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center and from the Jackson Medical Mall (350 West Woodrow Wilson Drive). Parking is free at these locations and JATRAN buses will start boarding two (2) hours prior to the 5 p.m. kick-off.
The cost is only $3 per person. Passes are sold Monday – Friday at the JATRAN Administration office, located at 1025 University Blvd. Also, fans can pay $3 cash upon boarding the bus, but they must have exact fare; bus operators do not carry change.
There is currently construction underway near the stadium. The Park-N-Ride service is a great opportunity to avoid clogged traffic. Jackson Police officers will escort the JATRAN bus into the gate of the stadium so there will be no delays.
