JSU Academy for Research and Scholarly Engagement inducts 18 faculty members

The Jackson State University Academy for Research & Scholarly Engagement inducted 18 faculty members into the fifth cohort of the academy on Friday, Sept. 30.

The 2016-2017 academy scholars hail from the College of Education & Human Development; College of Liberal Arts; College of Science, Engineering & Technology; School of Public Health Initiative; and Undergraduate Studies & Cyberlearning.

The 2016-2017 academy scholars are as follows:

The Academy for Research & Scholarly Engagement seeks to broaden the community of Jackson State University faculty members who competitively win extramural funding for their research agendas and/or creative endeavors. It matches a multi-disciplinary cohort of faculty at various stages in their careers with experienced Jackson State principal investigators (PIs) for sustained coaching. Academy Scholars participate in a year-long program of in-person workshops, self-paced online learning and engagement with program officers at federal agencies and foundations.
