JSU professor Evandro C. Santos has announced the publication of his new book, “Dry Ports in Brazil: Planning Guidelines for Land Use and Environmental Conservation.”
The book features urban and transportation planning strategic guidelines for land use and occupation and environmental conservation for dry ports in Brazil. It brings forth examples from and comparisons with European and North American models to highlight how dry ports can minimize environmental impacts from their storage, distribution, and transportation activities especially when located near or within cities.
Santos is an assistant professor of Urban Planning, Urban Design, and Transportation Planning for graduate programs in the School of Policy and Planning, Department of Urban and Regional Planning.
