Debrah Haymon earned her MBA from JSU’s College of Business in April 2022. She originally planned to complete her studies in a traditional-classroom setting, but the pandemic altered her decision. She enrolled in the online program and finished in two years.

“They covered all of the things that are trending in business now,” explained Haymon. “The instruction, the assignments, and the pace of it was good. It worked for me because I could take two courses a semester and excel.”

To further ensure success in the program, the faculty works closely with students to develop the academic path best fitting their understanding of the course work. JSU’s College of Business online MBA program’s cohort-based design grants students the opportunity to earn a degree in as little as 12 months.

“By the department controlling the registration, rather than letting students pick classes, makes it easier for us to schedule them on how we want them to progress in the program, and that has been very successful,” commented Okechukwu Anyamele, Ph.D., a professor of economics.

The College of Business also developed the “General Business” course so students without a background in business can still be successful in the graduate program.
