JSU Dance Ensemble to present annual showcase of diverse performances

The Jackson State University Dance Ensemble will present its annual showcase of diverse performances April 7 in the Rose E. McCoy Auditorium.

The event, in association with the Division of Student Life and the Department of Health, Education and Recreation, celebrates 50 years of talent, dedication and cooperation. The ensemble consists of 33 individuals who will exhibit styles that include jazz, modern, lyrical, hip-hop, tap and African.

Each presentation of “Theme’De: A De Production” will focus on a specific topic and has been choreographed to show the growth and diversity of the ensemble.

As part of this celebration, talented alumni will take part in the show and in other events throughout the week of April 3-9.

Cost is $5 in advance and $7 at the door.
