JSU hosts 36th Annual Mathematics and Engineering Fair on Friday, April 8

The Jackson State University Department of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences in the College of Science, Engineering  and Technology is hosting the 36th Annual Mathematics and Engineering Fair on Friday, April 8.

The theme for this year’s Fair is Mathematics Drives Careers in the Big Data Era.

The fair comprises individual and group events which include a mathematics exam, a Mathematics Bowl Competition, Mathematics Exhibits, a Bridge Design and Construction Competition, and a Water Bottle Rocket Design Competition. Registration for the Fair begins at 8 a.m.

Currently, 173 students and 19 teachers have registered. There’s a special session for the teachers who accompany their students.
