Students elected winners for the 2016-2017 Student Government Association and Campus Activities Board in voting held April 8 at Jackson State University.
Kendall Bunch, an accounting major who currently serves as the special interest senator, was elected SGA President for 2016-2017.
Bunch’s platform was “Join Thee Bunch: Building, Unifiying, Nurturing, Changing, Helping.”
Meanwhile, Destiney Lawrence, a biology pre-med major, will serve as 2016-2017 Miss Jackson State University.
She currently holds the position of SGA executive secretary. Her platform was, “Thee Road to Your Destiney: The Brains, The Heart, The Courage, The Way.”
Elementary education major, Larry Strickland, SGA executive vice president won the election for CAB president, campaigning on the platform, “The CAB Guy: Driving JSU to New Heights.”
