JSU holds inaugural ‘Academic Signing Day’

Untitled Extract Pages(JACKSON, Miss.) – Jackson State University held its inaugural “Academic Signing Day” from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, June 9, in the Student Center. The event welcomed many of the top scholars who have been admitted to JSU’s 2014 incoming freshman class.

ASD-1The day featured a program with greetings from college deans and sessions on academic advisement, financial aid, housing and general information. At the conclusion of the event, students formally committed to attending JSU in the fall.

Participating departments included JSUOnline, Extended Studies, Veterans and Military Center, Latasha Norman Center for Counseling and Disability Services, W.E.B. Du Bois Honors College, Alumni and Constituency Relations, Division of Institutional Advancement, and the JSU Parent Association.
