As a senior at Jackson State University, Marissa Simms was afforded the opportunity to open a start up boutique adjacent to JSU’s student center in One University Place. Royal Bleau Boutique has made a name for itself in the Jackson Metropolitan area. In less than 3 years, Royal Bleau Btq has gained name recognition from celebrity endorsements, organized annual fashion shows, and has been recognized in the Clarion Ledger, Jackson Free Press, Jacksonian, and other local news publications. The most rewarding moment in business thus far, is being recognized as one of JFP’s Best of Jackson’s Best Boutique and a Rising Entrepreneur.
