Jackson State University President Carolyn W. Meyers on Wednesday, April 23, welcomed former U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy and his family during a visit to JSU. Meyers also thanked Espy for accepting the invitation to be the first Scholar-In-Residence for JSU’s Institute of Government. Espy gave two lectures last month as part of the project. Espy’s wife, Portia, is a student in the Public Policy and Administration doctoral program.
