Rehabilitation Counselor Education Program earns five-year accreditation from council

Jackson State University’s Rehabilitation Counselor Education Program has earned full accreditation for five years for its master’s degree program from the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE), which accredits graduate academic programs for a variety of professional rehabilitation counseling positions.

Core2 CORE’s Graduate Commission on Standards and Accreditation developed the recommendation for JSU’s accreditation, according to the organization.

Reportedly, CORE uses an Annual Progress Report to monitor quality as well as the program’s responses to any conditions and recommendations established by CORE.

As a specialized accreditation organization, CORE is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and is a member of the Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors (ASPA).
