On Feb. 23, The JSU Student Veteran Association partnered with the Stewpot Community Center and launched a local outreach project.

The mission of the project was to reach out to veterans in the local community. The project proved to be a success as the JSU SVA extended themselves to several veterans in the Jackson area by preparing and serving food.
The SVA is a national student organization that provides military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education and following graduation. Additionally, chapters often coordinate campus activities, provide pre-professional networking, and generally provide a touchstone for student veterans in higher education.
Stewpot is an organization that offers several different programs – from shelter, to clothing, to counseling, to children’s programs.
Wtg Dale!!!! U the man!!
Giving time to help at the Stewpot C.C. was a great experince for me. I really enjoyed what we did. I feel that all who is able should go and receive that experience. You wil definitly receive something out of it and the gift is not physical. Thanks for experience.
Keep up the good work veterans. It is great seeing this. My mother is a veteran.
