The Jackson State University Chapter of the Blue Key Honor Society has extended its deadline as it appeals for new members with a successful record in scholarship, leadership, service and character.
New membership criteria are as follows: history of academic achievement, record of leadership in at least two organizations/associations, desire to serve others in the community and strong moral character and integrity. Also, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and at least 60 credit hours by the fall semester.
Applications and résumés should be submitted to the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership, Room 2124, by the extended deadline of Oct. 19. There is a non-refundable membership fee of $80, which includes national and chapter dues.
