Funeral services for former Jackson State University football player Travis Woods have been set for Friday, family members said.

Visitation will be held for the public from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 2975 Cannonsburg Road, in Natchez. The memorial service will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with anyone desiring to speak.
Private visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and a ceremony by his Omega Psi Phi fraternity brothers will be held at 5 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Natchez High School Gymnasium, 319 Sergeant Prentiss Drive, Natchez.
Woods, 23, a Natchez native, was a starting defensive back with JSU in 2013.
Woods was shot and killed in an altercation outside a club in Lorman, Miss., about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
