On June 25, 2014, 130 incoming freshmen students completed the First Summer Session of the JSU Summer Bridge Program (SBP)—annually funded under Title III, and offered through Undergraduate Studies.
In addition to summer program courses: Math 004, Math 111, Biology 111 and Biology Lab 111, SBP students visited the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), and participated in a resuscitating demonstration under the guidance of UMMC physicians and staff.
Currently, students are enrolled in Math 111, Math 112, Chemistry 141 and Chemistry Lab 141. Upon completion of the Second Summer Session, in conjunction with the first, SBP students will have a “kick-start” advantage of 6-to-11 college credit hours Fall 2014.
