
(JACKSON, Miss.) – Jackson State University will launch the new exhibit, “Exit 6,” at the Johnson Hall Gallery on Jan. 23.
The exhibit is a series of contemporary artwork by Chris Kienke, artist and chair of foundations in the art department at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana campus. The artwork explores the relationship of identity and stereotype using the road as its landscape.
A lecture will be held in Johnson Hall, room 218, at 2 p.m. Jan. 23, followed by an opening reception in the gallery from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. The exhibit will run through March 6, 2014.
