Jackson State University’s “Thee House Party” 2024 Homecoming Concert just went up another notch. YTB Fatt of MoneyBagg Yo’s Bread Gang Entertainment and New Orleans rapper T99zy are bringing the heat right along with GloRilla for the ultimate homecoming turnup. This show will definitely have everyone up out of their seats unable to “Calm Down!”
JSU “Thee House Party” Homecoming 2024 is Oct. 27 – Nov. 2. This week-long celebration is packed with fun and memorable events that will make this homecoming one for the books. Here is a recap of some of the action below:
Get ’em Glo: GloRilla, YTB Fatt and T99zy are set to take the stage on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Lee E. Williams Athletic & Assembly Center for an unforgettable night of epic proportions. Get ready for an evening of non-stop energy that will have you on your feet from start to finish.
Concert Deets: Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. All residential and non-residential students can purchase tickets for just $25 through a link distributed to your JSU e-mail accounts. Students will be required to show their student identification at the door. General admission for all others is $60 and can be purchased at Impact Tickets. Parental supervision is required for non-JSU students and patrons under the age of 18.
Throwback Theme: This year’s homecoming theme pays homage to the classic Kid ‘n Play era, giving a shout-out to the movie franchise started by the New York hip-hop duo. Word on the street is that JSU is the ultimate home-away-from-home for students and alumni, so the theme is fitting and reflects the fun, nurturing environment the HBCU offers.
Parade and Football Frenzy: The legendary JSU homecoming parade will take place on campus hitting the iconic Dr. Robert Smith Parkway on Saturday, Nov. 2, kicking off at 8 a.m. Pro Football Hall of Famer Robert “Dr. Doom” Brazile will serve as the parade Grand Marshal.
On game day, the JSU Tigers will take on Arkansas Pine Bluff at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Homecoming week will be filled with exciting activities, including Street Jam, Yard Fest, Greek Step Show, Thee Vendor Fair, and the return of Thee Gospel Explosion. This is just a taste of what a JSU homecoming has to offer. There is much more to explore, but you must come and see for yourself.
