Alumna Beverly Taplin, who attended Jackson State University from 1980-1983 and was an accounting major, passed away on Tuesday.
She is the mother of Martha Taplin, who is currently pursuing a master’s degree in biology at JSU.
A wake will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Gloster, Miss.
Funeral services will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Saturday.
