Jackson State University’s social media department is hosting its first #GreeksAtPlay initiative in hopes of drawing a larger crowd at the 2014-2015 basketball games.

The initiative calls for all Greek fraternity and sorority organizations to adopt specified games throughout the season, according to Ashton Hall, JSU social media associate. A tentative schedule has been set.
Specified organizations with their Greek paraphernalia will receive $1 concessions and an opportunity to stroll/hop at courtside during halftime. Students, alumni and community members are encouraged to participate.
The #GreeksAtPlay initiative will begin Saturday, Jan. 10, and includes an open free-throw contest during halftime of the men’s basketball game. The person who can make the most free-throws in 30 seconds will win a grand prize.
The contest is sponsored by Dallas Printing, A2Z Printing, and Quality Printing.
