Did not know him,but sounds like an awesome person.

I’d like to thank everyone at the RUF and University for the wonderful service and memorial. It’s so comforting to know the impact he had on others, and I pray all of you will take that little piece of him to fruition in your own lives. God Bless you all, and I know he loved JSU.
My sympathy to the Shearer family. Be blessed.
God Bless the Shearer family.
I saw James on Tuesday of last week in the union. He was joking with me and my boyfriend. it was good seeing him. I was in Army ROTC with him a few years ago. He was a funny guy and just seemed like a great loving soul. May god be with his family in this time of bereavement.
My prayers go out to your family.
James will truly be missed by his family and JSU family. I’m praying for his family.
You will always be remembered battle…
If James ever had a bad day, nobody ever knew it! He was always smiling, and so helpful to other people. He loved everybody, and treated every person the same…. Ask anyone. That was just James.
I did not know him, however, it sounds like he had a sweet spirit, something that a lot of people lack today. This is very sad, and I am praying for God’s peace for his family and friends.
I love James. I grew up with him and we have been friends since Chastain. I remember when he started rapping and all the talks him and I use to have over the years, when I was really sad in high school he took me to church with him every Sunday and Wednesday I could make it, he was a very happy soul. He will be missed so much.
Man I’m so saddened. I remember the times we’d battle rap at Young Life at the Perkins Center. Everybody called him Skittlez. Lol He was a very talented but humble guy. You will be missed
I am an alumni who did not know Mr. Shearer but it is always sad to lose someone in the JSU family. RIP
I’ll never forget all of us coming in as freshman’s. We had an activity thing in the Walter Payton. James got on stage, of course all of us are wondering what talent he’s gonna display. Then, he start’s raping lol & doing good at that. Everyone was overjoyed laughing and going along with him. Never would have thought. God knows. My prayers and support to the Shearer Family.
He was truly a great person– Always smiling and wanted to make you smile. He loved JSU.
