Mississippi Humanities Executive Director Barbara Carpenter last week presented Jackson State University Graphic Arts professor Jimmy Mumford his award as the JSU Humanities Teacher of the Year for 2012-13. The Annual MHC Awards Luncheon was held at the Marriott Downtown Jackson, Friday March 22. Each of Mississippi’s 43 institutions of higher learning is privileged to participate annually in nominating a liberal arts instructor for recognition.
