Jackson State University student George Tan received an all-expense-paid scholarship to attend Global Startup Youth (GSY) Oct. 8-11 and the Global Entrepreneurship Summit Oct. 11-12 in Malaysia.
Now in its fourth year, the Global Entrepreneurship Summit is an initiative President Barack Obama announced in 2009 to spur job creation through entrepreneurship by connecting young innovators to resources, ideas, and each other. Obama will deliver the summit’s keynote address.
The GSY is a three-day, high intensity boot camp that harnesses the power of youth, their cultural diversity and their deep conversations about today’s world problems to accelerate them into ventures.
Global experts in innovation, design, startup leaders and leading grassroot entrepreneurship players will gather as global mentors to help the GSY participants build solutions to real-world problems. The best ventures will showcase their prototype to world leaders during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
Congrats!
