Jackson State University alumna Jerald Woolfolk has been announced as the 20th president of Lincoln University (LU). She will begin her tenure June 1.
“I am very excited and honored to be selected as the 20th president of Lincoln University and looking forward to becoming a part of the LU family- which I already feel a part of. I will work to ensure LU’s sustainability for the next 152 years,” said Woolfolk.
Lincoln University is a historically black educational institution in Jefferson City, Missouri, that enrolls about 2,600 undergraduate students and more than 100 graduate students.
Woolfolk is currently the vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at the State University of New York at Oswego (SUNY). She also holds roles as a visiting professor and interim chief diversity and inclusion officer at SUNY.
A native of Leland, Mississippi, Woolfolk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 1981 and a doctor of philosophy degree in urban higher education in 2008 from JSU.
Woolfolk will be introduced during LU’s 16th Annual President’s Gala weekend in April.
