Mississippi Legislature presents resolution to President Meyers

A resolution presented by the Mississippi Legislature in observance of the fifth-year anniversary of Jackson State University President Carolyn W. Meyers marks her notable contributions to the community and the state’s urban institution.

The House resolution cites Meyers for her “tremendous vision of growth for JSU” with its three new campus locations, increased course offerings, weekend and online studies and the implementation of the nation’s largest freshmen iPad initiative.

Meyers is also being recognized for her many academic accomplishments and numerous honors and awards throughout her career.
