Students who missed the round of talks with recruiters from NASA on Tuesday have a second chance at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, as NASA Days continue at JSU.
Additionally, a luncheon will be held at noon Wednesday for faculty interested in networking and exploring potential partnerships, according to Almesha L. Campbell of the JSU Division of Research and Federal Relations.

NASA Days has proven quite popular, with about 40 students attending the Tuesday morning workshop, Campbell said. A larger crowd was expected for Tuesday afternoon, and for the evening activities.
Scheduled for 6-8 p.m. in the Student Center ballroom, the Tuesday panel discussion features students who have had internships with NASA sharing experiences with those interested in exploring opportunities with NASA, Campbell said.
On Tuesday, free smartphone apps were hot items at the registration desk. Downloadable via cards with qr codes printed on them, the apps can be used to make it appear spacecraft are floating in space in photos taken with smartphones. The Spacecaft 3D apps are also available online, said Lisa Singleton, a Kennedy Space Center recruiter.
While recruiters will primarily be looking for students majoring in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs, they are also interested in business and liberal arts students.
NASA also has a preference for veterans and individuals with disabilities, Singleton said. For more information, visit the NASA Days registration desk, or see: https://pathways.ksc.nasa.gov/documents/VetFlyer.pdf
The workshops start on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. with a Pathways Program Overview at the Student Center theater as a repeat for students who did not participate on Tuesday. Students can register for the workshop when they arrive.

The NASA/JSU faculty networking luncheon will be held 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the faculty lounge in the Engineering Building.
An overview and question-and-answer session with NASA recruiters will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Engineering Building atrium.
“Wednesday evening’s Q&A will be for those students who attended the workshop and are interested in applying for one or more of the internship opportunities,” Campbell said.
