Jackson State welcomes the community to food, fun, music and sports at it’s annual Tiger Fest, Saturday, April 11, at the JSU campus on Walter Payton Drive.
Presented by the JSU Tiger Fund and the JSU Division of Athletics, Tiger Fest will feature the Blue & White Spring Football Game along with a Greek Step Show and concert, according to the Department of University Events.
A day full of entertainment, the festivity will consist of performances from JSU cheerleaders, The Prancing J-Settes and the JSU Band, The Sonic Boom of The South.
Families are welcomed to bring lawn chairs and blankets while children enjoy the Kids Play Zone or view the JPS parade.
The fun begins at 8 a.m. A band and cheerleader parade will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A step show and concert will be featured from 3-6 p.m. and evening ends with an Ole School DJ and a dance.
JSU students with an ID can attend the event for free.
Free admission for children 10 and under; $5 for age 11-14; $10 ages 15 and older. There is a $5 fee for Kids Play Zone. The fee for tailgaters is $25, and for RVs and vendors the fee is $50.
