[hr]JSU’s University Communications department recently reeled in a resounding nine first-place honors, and 20 total, during the annual awards presentation by the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM).
Mississippi’s only urban HBCU was recognized for its outstanding work over the past year. It earned first place in the following categories: (1) news story or series; (2) sports news story or series; (3) admissions and recruitment piece; (4) advertisements print; (5) single piece of artwork – sports; (6) photograph; (7) sports photograph; (8) sports media guide; and (9) web advertisements. Maxine R. Greenleaf, executive director of JSU’s Communications and Marketing, said her staff is dedicated to showcasing the glory of the institution.
“The team works hard to produce quality work, and it shows in each item that we produce. We are deeply honored and grateful to be recognized by our peers in the state of Mississippi and beyond,” she said.
This year marked CPRAM’s first virtual conference due to COVID-19. As in previous years, it recognizes a consortium of public relations professionals at Mississippi’s public and private colleges and universities and affiliated education agencies.
CPRAM offers professional development to its members. These include mentoring and networking opportunities related to public relations, communications and marketing.
