Jackson State University veterans and military students will receive discounts on select merchandise and services on Tuesday, Veterans Day.
According to Tim Abram, director of the JSU Veterans and Military Center, local on-campus vendors will offer a 10 percent discount on Veterans Day for all JSU veterans and military students at:
— JSU Barbershop
— JSU Bookstore
— JSU Hair Studio
— JSU Subway
Students must show their JSU student I.D, military I.D, or VA card, Abram said.
In addition, student veterans and military members on Tuesday will be honored with a complimentary breakfast at 9 a.m. in the Student Center Ballroom, he said.
The event is sponsored by the JSU Veterans & Military Center in collaboration with the College of Public Service/School of Social Work and Metro Jackson Community Prevention Coalition.
Veterans & Military members can also visit www.militarywallet.com to see a listing of all local restaurants that are offering Veteran’s Day free and discount meals in the metro area.
From 9-11 a.m. today, the Jackson Veterans Center will be on campus to offer information about an array of benefits for Veterans.
